Profile paint is a textured exterior coating that creates a three-dimensional, patterned surface on facades. Unlike smooth exterior paint, profile coatings contain aggregates or special additives that produce a raised texture ranging from fine sand through to heavier decorative relief patterns. The term "profile" became widely associated with one branded product, but the category is produced by multiple manufacturers under different names.

It is used on the exterior facades of villas, residential buildings, and commercial projects where the design calls for a decorative textured finish rather than a flat painted surface. It is a standard finish across the Gulf region because it adds visual character to a facade while the extra coating thickness contributes an additional layer of weather protection.

Application is typically by roller or spray; heavier grades may require a trowel or patterned roller to achieve the desired effect. Surface preparation is more critical here than with smooth paint — cracks, weak plaster, or an unstable substrate will telegraph through the texture after application.
